Follow the footsteps of a schizophrenic in 1930s Vienna, witness how his reality falls apart and the borders with fantasy blurs. Discover his hallucinations by using your blacklight torch to see what is not normally seen.
This game is part of our Research & Development project and is currently still in development.
You are seeing through the eyes of a schizophrenic patient, and witness as the border between reality and fantasy blurs.
It is a night game, meaning the start location will emerge after sunset. You will follow your character walking back home from therapy, and discover past memories as well as shift of reality. The walls of the city will be remembering and carrying these, painted in blacklight graffiti.
Your blacklight torch will be the tool to live back these dreams. This is thanks to the free graffiti areas in Vienna, and hopefully in many other cities.
You will also be given the “running rabbit” stamp, your blacklight stamp to leave your traces also in these areas. Boardmaps will be printed with blacklight ink as well, specifically showing you these creative expression areas. This would eventually become a secret communication channel for the players.
The map contains a blacklight ink layer to display free graffiti areas.
The UV light(blacklight) and material technologies is are the key technologies to this game.
Applying printing, painting and stamping techniques, many surfaces can be turned into game related areas using blacklight.
One other creative employment of technology is real-time clocks. They are small modules with their own battery or supercapacitors, that can keep track of time for years.
Along with a record of sunrise and sunset times, these modules would enable activation of the night with time. Of course, light sensors can even enhance this process.
